~someeguy: After trying the friggin' useless *** number several times a day for over a week, calling this number to hear a person's voice was pretty much the best thing ever. I called just after *AM and got an answer immediately. I believe this is the San Diego office? Like others, I was transferred twice. Have your SSN ready. The first transfer was pretty rude, but the second one was very nice, understood the difficulties of getting to speak to a person, and answered all my questions very well. Please be extra nice to these people...this line is a precious resource!
