Target: This is for the time wasted with the level-* CS...

A Target customer review by GetHuman user ~Me from November 20th, 2017

Background on ~Me's case

GetHuman: ~Me - can you tell our other Target customers when your case took place?
~Me: Yup. It was late at night, on November 16th.
GetHuman: Did you reach out to Target, and if so, how?
~Me: I used the 800-440-0680 number I found for on the GetHuman Target customer phone number page I was on: Target Customer Service Phone Number
GetHuman: And which of these common Target customer issues best describes the reason you wanted to talk to them?
(Shows ~Me a list of common Target problems)
~Me: "Change order" was why I was trying to call.

~Me's review of Target customer service

GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Target customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~Me: This is for the time wasted with the level-* CSR. While her grasp of basic English may have been adequate for reading a script and looking up an order, she was unable to do anything in deviation from her scripts. In addition, when my issue turned out to be one that was not on her scripts, I was told to simply "ignore the notification emails". When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she tried to tell me that the supervisor would say exactly the same thing she did. In addition, she argued with me about transferring me. I finally kept repeating "Are you refusing to escalate this call?" over and over until she escalated. Five minutes with a supervisor (who was also obviously a native speaker of English), and the matter was cleared up.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Target. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Target problem?
~Me: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Me: I'd give them a one out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Target's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Me: For that I would say one out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Target customers?
~Me: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Target to know who you are.
GetHuman: Well there you have it. Some useful feedback and words from ~Me taken from his Target customer service problem that occurred on November 16th, 2017.
