GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's TomTom customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~WVUMountaineer: I have the TomTom XL ***SE. Bottom Line: DO NOT PURCHASE A TOMTOM. This was the biggest waste of money I have ever experienced. I am giving it away. I will never purchase one of these units again. The customer service team was helpful, but the email exchange was so canned and it was the same sentences repeated over and over* they would just fix the canned response according to the issue. I suggest Garmin any day over tomtom. Garmin also has free lifetime map updates, and a much better operating system. Completely Unsatisfied.

~WVUMountaineer: I'd give them a four out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~WVUMountaineer: I'd give them a three out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about TomTom's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~WVUMountaineer: For that I would say four out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other TomTom customers?
~WVUMountaineer: Try to deal with them early in the day or later. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for TomTom to know who you are.
