~eMKay1019: As part of my lay off, I received severance pay for three months. On the FL unemployment application it asks about severance. However, when you choose "yes" it directs you to another page that asks about Workers Comp and forces you to give a date of injury. I didn't have an injury so I left it blank and got a message on the top of the screen that I had two days to input the info or else the claim would be processed based on the info I submitted. Today I signed on (two weeks later) and there was no record of my claim. When I called unemployment, the rude woman on the phone said that I was to put ********** for the date. It is a "default" page and for some reason IT cannot fix it? I asked if a notice could be added to the severance question because this is confusing. She said that it is self-explanatory because I could go back to the home page and see my claim was not processed. So now I get to wait another two weeks before I can even apply for benefits. Thanks, Florida!
