~VitalRecordsProvider: I don't like VitalChek due to usually poor service and not providing any real "extra service".**But I do have to defend them in that the fee is a "search fee", not a "certificate fee". All states do not refund, regardless if the record was found or not. And many even charge extra if not enough information was given.**Tricked you because they charge a service fee? Did you want it free? Just by hitting submit, you should be charged... I mean, you are stating that you read the Terms prior to hitting submit... though we all know that most people don't actually read them.**Oh, and many states*counties are very slow, so yes, a private company is recommended. Especially since most people order a vital record and need it as fast as possible. Example, California can take * months to send a marriage certificate.**http:**www.cdc.gov*nchs*w*w.htm is a great site.
