~Linda Butler: I rented a car in Yuma, AZ. Upon arrival, no one escorted me to the car to go over operating instructions or existing damage. I could not find how to open the hatchback to store my luggage, nor was there an operating manual in the glovebox. Upon calling the service desk with these questions, I was told there was only one person working and I would have to wait my turn. As I was meeting someone shortly, I left. Two days later, this car had a flat tire...after minimal short distance driving. It was at night & the security people who offered to change the tire could not figure out how to access the hatchback*spare. A call to Avis-Yuma offered no help. My husband (back in Oregon) got online to figure out spare tire access. Upon changing the tire, the security officers showed me that it had been patched TWO TIMES*! Needless to say, I was very glad it went flat while idle and not while driving, for example, on the freeway. There is only * person working the service desk in Yuma for

~Linda Butler: I'd give them a five out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Linda Butler: I'd give them a four out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Avis's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Linda Butler: For that I would say five out of five.

~Linda Butler: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Avis to know who you are.
