GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Systrum Energy customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~NJReview99: Systrum Energy is nothing more than a scam! My gas bill is higher than it would have been with NJNG and my electric bill is double what it would have been with JCP&L. Their lies are numerous: Their website paints the picture of a lovely family business, that they will decrease your costs and that they operate under the umbrella of the Board of Public Utilities. They do not operate under the BPU and are in fact completely unregulated, they engage in variable pricing and in a good month they will not save your more than pennies. They blamed NJNG for their higher gas price (not true) and promised to make it up on the next bill (never happened). Needless to say all promises flew out the window when they doubled the electric rate. They worst part is that it takes several billing cycles to get away from them which gives them free access to your check book till you get switched back. Stay away and save yourselves a lot of grief!
