I have found them very difficult to deal with and not as efficient as in the past. Promises to fix cancelled cards and re instate points to no avail. Promises by two different operators who said they would email me to keep me in the loop and up to date on the progress of my card. Now I have no credit card and lost approx 120,000 points (I think by memory) and they don't care. They say I have to wait 12mths to reapply. Who can wait 12 months. Unsatisfactory outcome. I would never ever recommend you applying for a card as they don't follow up and basically have lost their edge and I am sure there are other institutions that can provide better service. My disappointment is I was a long standing Gold card holder since 1994 and now they do not even want to help me.. As yet to receive a reply to two extensive emails sent to them over period of 17 days. Stay away my friends. If they come to the party as promised I will repost and also have my faith renewed in AMEX Australia. Karen
