“I wanted to settle my wife's credit agreement with a final clearance payment with my personal credit card. I was clearly told that because my billing address differed from my wife's credit address, the transaction offered was DECLINED. I went to use my credit card and found that they had taken the payment. When I complained, they said that the money would be refunded after 5 days.........effectively denying me the use of those funds and my intended use of the money elsewhere. The Bank has obtained a pecuniary advantage by deception in my mind, which is an offence under the Theft Act 1968. I await a response from HFC for reimbursement immediately. Disgraceful frankly. RPN.”
