“We fell for the "companion airline ticket" promotion back in November 2008. Not only did I make a qualifying purchase in the store, but my daughter opened up an account and charged items just for the benefits of the promotion. It is now April. Neither of us have ever recieved "something in the mail" as the sales person said, and after making monthly phone inquiries since December, I am beginning to believe that we've been had!! I have been given dead end phone numbers, and unfortunately JC Penney customer service cannot help me. I was told to call API. I have called them many times...and a voice recording tells me to leave a message...which I have done over and over, and then...nothing happens. This feels like I have fallen for a scam, as JC Penney isn't falling through on it's promotion, unless 5 months is considered a reasonable waiting time for a response.
