“It is truly a sad day for my husband, Dave. He had to put his 1991 Toyota pickup truck to rest. It was 15K miles shy of reaching the 1/2 million mile mark. The truck was still going strong until the fuel pump went up on it. There comes a time when one has to make a decision as to whether or not a vehicle is worth putting money into it and this heartbreaking day finally came for my husband. He knew the time was near, but it still did not make it any easier for him to face when the vehicle finally died. I thought that you may find this to be an incredible story due to the fact that a Toyota vehicle reached such a major milestone in the 500K mileage mark; let alone passed its last inspection (Jan. 2009) with flying colors at the ripe old age of 18 years.
