“I have always thought of Zellers as a friendly family store, however; this was not the case at the Gloucester Centre store on the evening of August 27/09 when I went to Customer Service and asked to use their phone for a local call. There were no customers at the counter at the time so I was not interfering with business. I explained that I had gotten off the bus at a wrong location, had no cash and needed to contact my husband who was waiting for me at the correct location. The girl at the desk said there was a pay phone outside. I told her I was aware of that but I had no change and needed to make the call right away. She asked an older co-worker if she could let me use the phone. The woman said "no, it's against policy". This person was not interested in listening to my problem and told me to use the pay phone outside.
