~davids: Watch out, the "Groupon Promise" is a fake marketing gimmick. I purchased a groupon from a local restaurant and the restaurant refused to accept it as they thought it might be a copy or a fake. Quite shocking to have them insinuate that I was a common criminal when I was trying to redeem a valid purchase. I contacted Groupon customer service, told them about my unpleasant experience and asked for a refund per their "promise" that "If the experience using your Groupon ever lets you down, we'll make it right or return your purchase.". They refused to refund my credit card and told me I'd have to wait until they resolved the issue with the owner of the restaurant. After three weeks went by and they still would not issue a refund. I finally had to file a complaint with my credit card company and get them to reverse the charge. Quite the hassle. I'll never use the site again. A deal is not a deal if it's not worth anything.

~davids: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~davids: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Groupon's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~davids: For that I would say two out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Groupon customers?
~davids: Try to deal with them early in the day or later. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Groupon to know who you are.
