GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's IRS customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~OverhaulTaxCode: It does not matter what time of day, or day of week you call, no one answers. I always get the same old "Due to the choice you made, we are unable to connect your call at this time, please call back at a later day or time. . . blah. . . blah. . . blah." No wonder no one wants to deal with them. They can't even get to your call in for one simple request. They don't even answer the phone anymore. I am going to send a snail mail correspondence. I bet I will get a reply from that before I get someone to answer the phone.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting IRS. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a IRS problem?
~OverhaulTaxCode: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~OverhaulTaxCode: I'd give them a one out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about IRS's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~OverhaulTaxCode: For that I would say three out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other IRS customers?
~OverhaulTaxCode: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for IRS to know who you are.
