~oogabooga: My experience was actually pretty painless - though there is no option in the phone menu to talk to a human. It would be nice if there was. If I hadn't known about gethuman, I would not have had a way to explain my issue. Once I was able to explain it, customer service was very helpful.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting IRS. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a IRS problem?
~oogabooga: I'd give them a one out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~oogabooga: I'd give them a one out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about IRS's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~oogabooga: For that I would say three out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other IRS customers?
~oogabooga: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for IRS to know who you are.
