~Concerned citizen: Question is if the government is closed then why is the politicians still getting payed and they're thinking to stop SSDI and SSI before they stop their pay? Also the politicians say they care about us but I think all they care about is their pay so they think it is okay to try to cut SS and the rest before there own pay.But who would be hurt more the SS, SSDI and SSI or the politicians without their pay? Our country is falling apart because of them putting themselves ahead of the people of the USA. Before they try to cut the peoples pay that can not survive without their checks we should cut their huge checks. First thing when a politician gets reelected is they give themselves a raise and that is unfair to the people. Politicians should try to act like they care about the people before they get more money to themselves. Politicians drive around in there cadillacs and see people living in the streets and they don't care as they're showing to us now. They're trying to cut the money of
