GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Medicare customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~tfpob1: Mediacre is still a mystery to all us ex pats, why are we mandated to pay for Medicare when we live outside the country returning for a week or two yearly. Medicare unlike veterans medical coverage does not pay any claims we incur while living and traveling abroad so the question begs why is the Medicare agency or it's governing body forcing us to purchase medical coverage that isn't in affect nor will it be honored outside the USA??*Seems to be Medicare customer dis-service in place of what is supposed to be customer service??*$***.** each month for absolutely no service or reimbursements should they occur outside the states. lastly, why do veterans with similar tricare medical coverage get coverage outside the country? AND, if I am not mistaken they pay no monthly premiums for what amounts to the same medical coverage's.*I suppose someone in the agency will attempt an explanation on these similar but dissimilar medical coverages?
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Medicare. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Medicare problem?
~tfpob1: I'd give them a five out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~tfpob1: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Medicare's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~tfpob1: For that I would say four out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Medicare customers?
~tfpob1: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Medicare to know who you are.
