~TheMightyTinMan: For years I've been afraid to call Sallie Mae because of the verbal abuse I received from a supervisor when attempting to negoitate reduced payments on my loans. Years later when they changed their name to Navient, my opinion hadn't changed. I've now had two positive interactions with their representatives after moderately short hold times. Their lending practices and interest rates are still scummy and I will never do business with them again, but at least I'm not afraid to call now.

~TheMightyTinMan: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~TheMightyTinMan: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Navient's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~TheMightyTinMan: For that I would say one out of five.
