~An infuriated eBay seller who : I Have lost count of the hours wasted battling with ebay "customer service" over arbitrary "rules" and pointless or already resolved matters. The pity is that their oversees customer service personnel are very willing to help but they are NOT ALLOWED to help or think for themselves. It sounds like they are trained into a pattern of rigid rules and policies that are parroted back to the listener with no actual communication nor understanding. Most recent call I made the girl in Customer service was able to see through a point of illogical ebay policy being discussed and once she was able to think for herself we actually got somewhere. Thes*e poor people must have **** of a time because thanks to ebay's asinine "customer service" policies all that happens is that we - the customers - get infuriated with the persons we are speaking with. It is not their fault - their hands are tied - just as much as ours. They can't help - but they would like to if they could. *They are not the target -
