GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's TomTom customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~Guy Mainer: I bought a refurbished TomTom***SE because it was affordable ($**.** at Big Lots!). When I tried to use the Latest Map g-Guarantee I was told my unit was out of date so I called the toll-free number. After a very short wait a very pleasant man answered and asked just enough questions to fully understand the problem and the steps I had already taken. He had me log on to TomTom Home while he waited and then he downloaded the latest map to my account, and I was able to download it to the GPS from there with no further problems. Excellent, prompt service with good results. I'm a happy customer.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting TomTom. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a TomTom problem?
~Guy Mainer: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Guy Mainer: I'd give them a four out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about TomTom's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Guy Mainer: For that I would say three out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other TomTom customers?
~Guy Mainer: Try to deal with them early in the day or later. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for TomTom to know who you are.
