~JAYT: The native English speaker I dealt with tried her best but... my ** year old mother was offered a new better room about a week after getting her new BT service connected. **She eventually said she'd call me back after saying she was having trouble with the setup. This is only a different room in the same building. **She got my email address wrong so I did not receive confirmation by email until I updated the address two days later - I had called back the same day to let them know about the mistake but the guy I spoke to said it would take ** hours to update. I manage databases for a living so that was intriguing...**They've not applied the tariff discount originally offered and set the new line installation date for two weeks away. This line is my Mum's only means of contact with the outside world except for visitors. Wish I'd stuck to original plan to find another supplier.

~JAYT: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~JAYT: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about British Telecom's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~JAYT: For that I would say four out of five.

~JAYT: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for British Telecom to know who you are.
