~Anonymous: Yep, same situation for me as the other commenter--funds just plain disappeared (coincidentally, when Coinbase was out of coins to sell themselves, suddenly mine got sold back to them without my permission), and no luck getting a response about why. No explanation whatsoever, going on * days. Tried multiple emails to above address, as well as the Coinbase Twitter account. Basically amounts to theft of what I purchased from them--they sold me coins, and then just took them back because they were still in my account, and therefore accessible (and made me pay for the privilege, since the BTC price had fallen drastically in the interim...now it's way back up, and what should've been my profit became theirs instead. Really, really unfortunate behavior from a site I'd otherwise thought was legitimate.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Coinbase. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Coinbase problem?
~Anonymous: I'd give them a one out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Anonymous: I'd give them a four out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Coinbase's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Anonymous: For that I would say one out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Coinbase customers?
~Anonymous: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Coinbase to know who you are.
