GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's ComEd customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~dianepontarelli: I contacted my bank CHASE to see why comed could not get authorization for payment with my debit card and or a check by phone. The bank states that the problem is with Comed and that authorization was given to them for the payment. Also, my account had no holds or problems and my debit card was also good. It is very disturbing to be told your payment is declined as well as the fact that my account will show three failed attempts to make payment. Chase says that they will verify that payment should not have been declined with phone call from Comed or three way phone call from me. I could not get through to comed to do that. I was on hold for ** minutes and my phone died. I would have had to call back and wait again so I am doing a callback. Let's see how long that takes.

GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~dianepontarelli: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about ComEd's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~dianepontarelli: For that I would say four out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other ComEd customers?
~dianepontarelli: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for ComEd to know who you are.
