~ldl: I called to complain that I received a message several weeks ago saying my first issue had been mailed, had immediately sent in a check and now, weeks after the message, have received nothing. The agent argued with me and told me it took *-* weeks to process. I reiterated that if that were the case, they're not doing business in a very timely fashion, and they shouldn't tell people they've mailed something when they clearly haven't, that they're starting their relationship with their customers with an obvious lie. She continued to argue with me, and I asked to speak to someone above her. She put me on hold for several minutes, and then I got another agent who also argued with me. REALLY stupid - no wonder nobody's subscribing to magazine any more, and they're certainly not doing anything to improved their business processes to keep the subscribers they have.
