GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Fitbit customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
GetHuman-johnjco: Called customer service and was connected to Wendy. She is in El Salvador. Explained that I was on my *th Fitbit and all have died for the same reason. They died because sweat from my arm gets into charging port and shorts it out. Asked for a higher level Fitbit which is advertised as being more water resistant. She refused. I asked how to escalate. After an * minute wait I was transferred to supervisor Ally. She stated all she could do was escalate the complaint to a resolution team. She could not give me phone or email to this team, or her supervisor. She could not give me a timeframe for escalation to call me back. Said they would not call but email. I made sure she had my email, since she didn't indicate she had it. All in all a very poor interaction. I do not feel confident that Fitbit will contact me. I will not buy another Fitbit. I feel sorry for my wife who bought this for my birthday and is upset that I've had such a poor experience.

GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
GetHuman-johnjco: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Fitbit's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
GetHuman-johnjco: For that I would say four out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Fitbit customers?
GetHuman-johnjco: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Fitbit to know who you are.
