~AnonymousS: Phone rep was excellent, very polite. However, Hearst Co which manages the magazine is using scare tactics to get folks to renew their gift subscriptions. I got a letter warning that account was DELINQUENT from their collections dept. I had bought my mom a gift subscription, but she no longer wanted it, so I didn't plan to re-order. This practice of sending warning letters just because a gift is not renewed is outrageous. The rep sounded surprised as well. I asked her to cancel my own subscription as a result of these letters. This is an unethical way to run a business and try to drum up additional subscriptions. The rep was very polite and took care of the cancellation of my own subscription.
