~Smooth1: Let me begin by saying that I rarely write reviews. However, after the TERRIBLE experience I had last night and today I had with Orbitz, I had no other choice. **I had originally booked a trip to Kansas City in late October to celebrate Christmas with my family. I did not purchase the trip insurance for this travel. However, recently my wife was informed that her ** year old brother had to have emergency surgery and ended up in ICU, where he still is hospitalized. He was watching over their ** and ** year old parents, so when this sudden surgery occurred, my wife immediately left to watch over her parents and check daily on her brother. **Because her brother has not responded to medical treatment as quickly as the medical staff had anticipated, I realized that I was going to have to change my itinerary and fly in to Springfield, Mo. to be with my wife and her family for Christmas.**I called Orbitz and explained my situation* much to an unsympathetic ear of the agent.
