GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Social Security customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~Waiting to Exhale: Today, ********, I was on hold and in their timed que when I heard that my wait time "was ** minutes". Fifteen minutes was bad enough. However, the truth was that I waited ** minutes. Even after double my wait time, I had to hang up and could not continue the wait. In double wait time, no rep ever picked up the line to help me and there was no response in over a halfhour. In a different light, I do want to say God help the small skeleton SSA staff who remain there working in these offices, they must be overwhelmed. But it's appalling and we baby boomers are just disgusted. The Soc Security Administration has had *** years to get this right, and still, they are short on any good solutions.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Social Security. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Social Security problem?
~Waiting to Exhale: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Waiting to Exhale: I'd give them a three out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Social Security's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Waiting to Exhale: For that I would say four out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Social Security customers?
~Waiting to Exhale: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Social Security to know who you are.
GetHuman: Well there you have it. Some useful feedback and words from ~Waiting to Exhale taken from his Social Security customer service problem that occurred on November 14th, 2017.
