~gilderjt: Tuesday, **-**-** a day before my family and I were to depart for Fort Lauderdale, FL, I decided to go on Spirit Airlines and do all of my pre-check in stuff. I used my confirmation ****** for the ***AM flight out of O'hare but no luck. I tried again and again but no luck. I contacted Spirit Airlines directly and spoke to several people who read from a script and did not help at all. I was informed that the money that I paid for the flight on Friday, **-**-** was cancelled. Not the flight but the money paid for the tickets. I was told that the confirmation * was no good and that I could purchase new tickets for *x's what I paid. I checked my account and was never refunded any money. I confirmed the email with the confirmation number. I was hung up on after a ** minute wait when asked to speak with a supervisor. I called Spirit Airlines at O'hare and was told that the flight was over sold and should have never been offered new tickets. I called the Spirit Airlines **** several more tim
