~apiminma: I DON'T recommend using TaxAct. As briefly as possible: I thought my federal & state taxes were submitted & DONE online. I mailed in my taxes due to my state (fed refunded to my checking). I found out accidentally while applying for a mortgage that my state taxes were paid by the voucher but I did not have taxes filed. THAT means I am responsible for penalties & intrest. After being "disconnected" with a rep at TaxAct I called back & spoke to a supervisor. He was polite but in short I never made it to the end that would have submitted the state taxes. Though I WAS able to print the payment voucher for the sate, print my copy of my taxes & PAY Taxact for doing my state & fed Taxes. NOT USER FRIENDLY SITE OR INFORMATIVE OBVIOUSLY.

~apiminma: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~apiminma: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about TaxAct's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~apiminma: For that I would say four out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other TaxAct customers?
~apiminma: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for TaxAct to know who you are.
