~pman1: I write too many checks, I wrote a check more than the usual amount to a grocery store, they didn't have enough history on my check writing history, I asked for cash back: these are some of the reasons my check was denied. basically what is being said is we don't want you or anyone writing checks anymore and this is how we are going to stop you. Telecheck doesn't work with the companies they represent 'walmart, foodlion' but they alone decide whether or not they want to allow you to make a purchase at places you have likely been shopping for years and very much likely been writing checks to for years. say goodbye to checks soon... and then cash...
