GetHuman: Can you tell the rest of us a bit more from what happened on 11/22/17?
GetHuman-jlmaly: UPDATE: I received a call today from a very courteous and helpful Uber rep. She cleared up all my questions, some of which were the result of Uber still ironing out their rather new business, she said. No money was ever in danger of being taken from my bank account related to the unauthorized receipt of their iPhone, but rather comes from ones earnings, she informed me. Contrary to what the website indicated, she told me if I changed my mind I could reinstate my membership on their site and drive for Uber in the future. Though the website says they can keep any and all submitted documents, she said she would delete all of mine, including drivers license, insurance info and car registration. All in all I'd say, except that they have no phone number to call to resolve such issues, they did help me regain my trust in the Uber company.***They have no phone number to contact Uber. That, in itself, tells me they are not on the up and up. They mailed a phone to my home before I'd even decided for sure if I was going to drive for them. I hadn't even submitted all the required documents and photos. Suddenly I receive a phone. The return of the phone is free with a printed label they offer but they say there may be fees during the time they are waiting to receive the phone, examining it to make sure it's in good condition, etc. Fees for a phone I never used and never even authorized them to send to me? I'm running as fast as I can in the opposite direction!
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Uber. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Uber problem?
GetHuman-jlmaly: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
GetHuman-jlmaly: I'd give them a three out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Uber's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
GetHuman-jlmaly: For that I would say two out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Uber customers?
GetHuman-jlmaly: Try to deal with them early in the day or later. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Uber to know who you are.
