~Care_A: First of all I booked a ticket to Hanoi from Bangkok. I filled in my passport information with the ticket, but nothing mentioned a visa being needed. And no travel books or websites that I read pointed out that getting a "visa on arrival" meant having documentation about a visa prior to leaving for Vietnam. Yes, it was my fault for not knowing this, but they could have brought it up when the reservation was made as a "before you go" type thing. The bad part - my complaint - is that the travel manager, Ha Van Ha, offered me and two others with the similar problems some assistance with getting the right documentation to board the plane...for the price of $*** each. The actual visa cost like $**. He was scamming us, and we had no choice but to miss our flight or pay him. I refused to pay more than the ticket to be swindled by this hustler. And no one at the airport could help me reschedule or cancel my flight. It had to be done online, and their website is not optimized for mobile. Boo,
