I cancelled an order because AT&T got everythin...

A AT&T customer review by GetHuman user ~Rene from November 26th, 2017

Background on ~Rene's case

GetHuman: ~Rene - can you tell our other AT&T customers when your case took place?
~Rene: Yup. It was evening, on November 23rd.
GetHuman: Did you reach out to AT&T, and if so, how?
~Rene: I used the 800-331-0500 number I found for on the GetHuman AT&T customer phone number page I was on: AT&T Customer Service Phone Number
GetHuman: And which of these common AT&T customer issues best describes the reason you wanted to talk to them?
(Shows ~Rene a list of common AT&T problems)
~Rene: "Lost phone" was why I was trying to call.

~Rene's review of AT&T customer service

GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's AT&T customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~Rene: I cancelled an order because AT&T got everything wrong. Did not port *, wrote wrong pin number, said they'd cancel installation fee and didn't, sent the installer to my house after I cancelled the order, then the installer said he installed service after I told him not too (but he didn't install it). Lady at this corporate office said sorry, and she'd send the info to an office that looks into those things. Ha! By the time they get to it it will be too little too late. AT&T doesn't fix problems when they occur, and probably never fixes them. So it keeps running poorly. I guess they don't care as long as they don't have much competition. Also, I wonder if they are using subcontractors for sales and installation, and the subcontractors are lying to get paid. What a mess of a company. What a disgrace to the community.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting AT&T. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a AT&T problem?
~Rene: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Rene: I'd give them a two out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about AT&T's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Rene: For that I would say three out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other AT&T customers?
~Rene: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for AT&T to know who you are.
GetHuman: Well there you have it. Some useful feedback and words from ~Rene taken from his AT&T customer service problem that occurred on November 23rd, 2017.
