I have been a salaried worker and a California taxpayer since ****.**I now have tried for ** MONTHS to collect benefits. **The EDD will not respond to or even acknowledge receipt of:**-MULTIPLE EDD Applications for benefits that I have sent in. (sent via internet and mail)**-Online requests for an explanation via e-mail* *Furthermore, no phone calls are ever answered either at the central office nor at the local office in Berkeley where many messages have been left. (Dozens of phone attempts have been made over the last year. When calling the *** number, the caller is forced to wait and listen to irrelevant messages typically for * minutes only to be told that the call cannot be taken).**It is obvious that no one is interested in handling people's cases for some reason: There is absolutely no explanation from anyone explaining why there is no response of any kind from California EDD.**Looking at media and online sources
