~anchalsharma's review of Expedia customer service
GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Expedia customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~anchalsharma: I recently booked a hotel from expedia which showed an offer online that included breakfast with the stay. But the email confirmation said nothing about the breakfast. On checking with the customer care executive who saw the offer flashing on expedia website, we were assured that we can pay for breakfast and claim for the same by sending the bill to expedia. However, even after sharing the bill multiple times, we have not been refunded the breakfast amount and the offer. We are being told that the executive we spoke to left no comments on our query and hence the same cannot be done. We have requested them to dig out the call recordings and identify the executive who did this, but for everything the only answer we get is "we cannot do that" *This is an absolutely unacceptable response from a company of such repute, and this is the last time we would ever deal with expedia. This behaviour from their customer care cell has indeed, forced me to write bad reviews for them all over the web.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Expedia. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Expedia problem?
~anchalsharma: I'd give them a one out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~anchalsharma: I'd give them a two out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Expedia's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~anchalsharma: For that I would say five out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Expedia customers?
~anchalsharma: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Expedia to know who you are.
GetHuman: Well there you have it. Some useful feedback and words from ~anchalsharma taken from his Expedia customer service problem that occurred on November 20th, 2017.
