GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's John Hancock customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~dismay: On ********** we returned two surrendered policy checks to John Hancock because they failed to deduct federal and state withholding taxes. (One check had $*** withheld but the total deductions still stated $*.**?) When you call customer service @ ***-***-**** you end with someone in either Nova Scotia, or upstate New York. John Hancock's hub is in Boston, MA, so the customer service rep relays the problem to them and quotes a "**-** business day" response time. When the **-** days are up and you have received no response they quote the same thing again. As of ********* we have received no corrected checks, and no response from John Hancock. We don't understand how such a large company can have such poor customer service!

~dismay: I'd give them a five out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~dismay: I'd give them a four out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about John Hancock's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~dismay: For that I would say three out of five.

~dismay: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for John Hancock to know who you are.
