GetHuman-307811: *st you get an operator who then transfers you. Then the tech wants an e-mail as if you had purchased McAffee (my computer came pre-loaded with it). I had a specific problem and was asking for knowledge of a specific fix. Got nowhere. Transferred to tech support specific to my comp. manufacturer. She wanted permission to take control of my computer, wanted me to register including physical address...i.e. create on ongoing snail mail and e-mail barrage! I again reiterated my specific problem and asked the simple specific question. This sent the tech off to get my question answered by someone who isn't reading from a menu. The answer I wanted all along was--no your problem can not be fixed unless you get rid of McAfee entirely. So I did.

GetHuman-307811: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about McAfee's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
GetHuman-307811: For that I would say three out of five.

GetHuman-307811: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for McAfee to know who you are.
