~Jake47: Needed help converting a PDF (text * handwritten notes) to Word. The service tech could not understand what I was asking. He walked me through some steps that failed to produce results. I was then transferred to the "Office" division where I was walked through some more steps which did not produce results. I was then told I would need third party software, after which I was told that if the tech could get "remote access" to my computer (cost of $**) he could solve the problem. My work is a doctoral proposal. I did not feel he understood the problem to begin with and refused the offer. I don't believe the call center was in the US which probably added to the lack of understanding.
