GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Southwest Airlines customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~frequentflyer: The response was quick, civil and completely unsatisfactory. My flight's departure had been delayed for over an hour. I asked the gate agent about departure, and she assured me it was going to be very late. Thus, I left the gate area for ** minutes, when I returned the flight had departed. A bunch of us were stranded. I got stuck overnight with a hotel bill. When we asked for any help with a hotel, the gate agent told us there was none.We discovered that a man who went and complained got a discounted hotel room. When I called this number, they basically told me - "too bad." They were polite, but made absolutely NO accommodation to me - no reimbursement of my expenses or even an airline ticket. This is not what I expect from Southwest, and I'm VERY disappointed. They've dropped from being my preferred airline.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Southwest Airlines. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Southwest Airlines problem?
~frequentflyer: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~frequentflyer: I'd give them a four out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Southwest Airlines's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~frequentflyer: For that I would say one out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Southwest Airlines customers?
~frequentflyer: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Southwest Airlines to know who you are.
