~Ray: On **-**-** I went to Best Buy to purchase my wife's Christmas gift. I had paid off all my credit cards on **-**-** and my wife and I had agreed not to use our cards except for bonifide emergencies. My check was declined at Best Buy because of "...too much recent activity" or something to that effect. I am ** years old, never bounced a check, and this was the first time I've ever had a check refused. When I asked if Telecheck could check with my bank I was told "No, that is not possible." When I asked what recourse did I have, I was told "nothing more we can do" by Telecheck. As a result, I was also told that I cannot write another check for * days until the system clears itself!! IT'S CHRISTMAS!!! Imagine writing more checks this time of year! This entire system has forced me to either start using my credit cards again or go to my bank and withdraw large sums of money and carry it on my person. With the technology thats available today, there just has to be a better way. I will r

~Ray: I'd give them a five out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Ray: I'd give them a five out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Telecheck's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Ray: For that I would say one out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Telecheck customers?
~Ray: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Telecheck to know who you are.
