~SLS: They never responded. **I fly constantly for international business, and I have never in my life seen a sh*ttier, less caring airline than United. I don't believe I've ever gotten anyone on the phone in less than * hours of waiting, and even then I get transferred to someone else and have to wait an additional *-* hours. One time, while waiting to speak to someone about changing a flight due to my grandma's funeral coming up unexpectedly in the middle of a trip, I literally called them, waited for * hours on hold, put the phone down, went to a family dinner for about * hours, came back and was STILL in the waiting queue. They didn't answer until a total of * HOURS had passed. It was near *am when that happened, and then the CS rep was rude as all get out. Nothing was resolved until I found the email for their Senior VP, and CC-ed the CS department. I was absolutely LIVID.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting United Airlines. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a United Airlines problem?
~SLS: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~SLS: I'd give them a three out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about United Airlines's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~SLS: For that I would say five out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other United Airlines customers?
~SLS: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for United Airlines to know who you are.
