~fed up: So it's been more than * months since we rented out our shore house and the electric supplied by Atlantic City Electric. was changed into the tenants name. We were on a budget plan. At the time of the account change over we had*have a credit of nearly $***. WE requested a refund check and gave them the mailing address. They have been contacted a dozen times plus, by us and to date, we have yet to receive the refund. We have been promised a "check is in the mail" so many times we have lost count. Not to mention the we will call you backs... which has not happened once. We have also filed a complaint with the board of utilities. To date all the promises have been nothing but "LIP SERVICE"! The lesson here... ***** the budget plan and just pay monthly creating a budget account of your own.... never pay them in advance!!!! You may never see your money again unless you plan on never moving or renting out! If you don't pay your electric bill they shut off your electric but there is NO recour
