~ann's review of AT&T customer service

GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's AT&T customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~ann: The lady I spoke with at this number was nice and helpful. This was a relief after calling the normal customer service number and reaching a call center that was clearly not in the United States. After struggling to understand the agent and seeming to come to a good resolution, the call was disconnected before anything was confirmed. I called once before and was disconnected without ever getting a live person. The third time I called I asked to be connected to someone to cancel my service. They did not transfer me, but instead asked for my account number, which I gave them. They then said to wait a moment. I could hear things going on in the background and said "this connection is terrible." I then heard hold music and was disconnected for a third time. At that point, I looked up this number on Google. Thank you gethuman.com. You saved me from completely losing it!
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting AT&T. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a AT&T problem?
~ann: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~ann: I'd give them a four out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about AT&T's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~ann: For that I would say five out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other AT&T customers?
~ann: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for AT&T to know who you are.
GetHuman: Well there you have it. Some useful feedback and words from ~ann taken from his AT&T customer service problem that occurred on November 19th, 2017.
