GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's Amerihealth Insurance customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~Kazzo: I had AmeriHealth insurance for over a year until recently switching thanks to the Affordable Healthcare Act. I paid over $****month for a single individual out-of-pocket, and they paid for absolutely nothing. They would not even cover my bloodwork from a lab within my plan. Eventually the doctor's office comp'ed the entire bill themselves, and the whole ordeal was very embarassing. I would be afraid to get really sick on this coverage.**Their website navigation is ridiculous - some of the internal navigation after login goes to WebMD and self-diagnosis - and it's almost impossible to draw up tax information. They hounded me for over six months and forced me to take a survey I didn't want to take.**If you call customer service on the phone, be prepared for an afternoon of number-punching and an unnecessarily long wait time.**I would not recommend this company to anybody - not even my worst enemies.
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Amerihealth Insurance. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Amerihealth Insurance problem?
~Kazzo: I'd give them a one out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Kazzo: I'd give them a three out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Amerihealth Insurance's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Kazzo: For that I would say four out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Amerihealth Insurance customers?
~Kazzo: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Amerihealth Insurance to know who you are.
