GetHuman: So how would you sum up your experience for GetHuman's DISH customer community? We'll censor any IDs, numbers, or codes and any inappropriate words here out of respect to the millions of other customers using this resource.
~mhbouncer: I had a deadbeat girlfriend hook up DISH in my name. When she left she disconnected it leaving a bill. The bill went to collections without any notice. January of **** I went to hook up to DISH and was told about the balance. I paid the balance and they said they would take it out of collections. January **** I pull a credit history and found the balance from DISH was still showing in collections. I called and spent nearly * hours on the phone talking to several people. The end result was they said they would remove it from collections. February ****. I apply for a loan. Guess what pops up. Yup...DISH Network saying I'm in collections over the same debt. Once again on the phone for over * hours. End result. They will forward it to their collections department for review. If they find it is in error they will remove it from collections. I've given them fair warning what my next step will be if the matter isn't resolved.

~mhbouncer: I'd give them a two out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~mhbouncer: I'd give them a three out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about DISH's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~mhbouncer: For that I would say five out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other DISH customers?
~mhbouncer: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for DISH to know who you are.
