~Off the Grid: I have made * attempts over the last ** years to get Direct TV. This most recent craziness happened Feb. *th. I ordered service on the *th thru Century Link, bundle to get $*** gift card. Direct TV scheduled my appointment onthe phone with the Century Link person, I called the morning of the appointment and confirmed the appointment, hired my maintenance guy to be there to meet them, and they were a No Show! I called them and they blamed it on Century Link. I called Century Link and they blamed Direct TV and said they would be happy to just cancel my account altogether! I still don't understand how Century Link is who I ordered service from but Direct TV can cancel my account. These idiots know they have the only service offered in my area so they get to talk **** to you and be rude, like they are doing you a favor. Monopoly is the only way they are still in business. People don't have a choice in some areas.

~Off the Grid: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~Off the Grid: I'd give them a two out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about DirecTV's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~Off the Grid: For that I would say five out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other DirecTV customers?
~Off the Grid: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for DirecTV to know who you are.
