GetHuman: Can you tell the rest of us a bit more from what happened on 11/27/17?
GetHuman3965: Good afternoon,*I am writing in regard of very unpleasant situation that my friend and I has to face today due to incompetent Easyjet work.*I bought a ticket for my friend using my Barclays card. The flight was due today morning from Luton airport. When my friend arrived there, he went through hand luggage check and then bought a bottle of alcohol beverage at Duty Free. However, at the gate he was told that the ticket was cancelled because of bank transaction link to fraud. *At the place, airport person advised him to buy a new ticket for later today afternoon from another airport – Gatwick. In addition, workers refused to return the bottle bought by him from Duty Free. Obviously, he would not be able to bring it with him afterwards to Gatwick because he did not have any luggage. *Airport person offered him to include the small luggage for free, that way he would be able to bring it inside to Gatwick. *As a result, he spent additional money to buy a new ticket and to travel to Gatwick. However, that is not the end. When he arrived to Gatwick, he found out that the check in was not made for him and the airport person told him to pay £** for luggage to bring the bottle inside. After spending a certain amount of time to explain the situation, the workers noticed their mistake and let him in. *After contacting Barclays bank, we found out that there were no issues with the transaction and everything was fine from their side. It is also clearly visible from my bank statement, that the transaction went though and Easyjet received the money.*Although, the money for missed flight were not refunded. As well as money for traveling to Gatwick and numerous calls to solve the issue. *I truly believe that this matter is linked to Easyjet mistake and I insist on getting a refund.
