~jimlink82: Customer service is OK, but getting a freeze lifted can be very stressful*time consuming. I had to call back * different times before I finally got a guy who was willing to help. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR EQUIFAX!!! They offered it as a "free" service after the Anthem data breach but now I'm starting to realize it's more of a scam than a free service. Now I have to pay to cancel? So much for "free".
GetHuman: Let's quantify your experience contacting Equifax. On a scale of 1 to 5, how easy is it go get help on a Equifax problem?
~jimlink82: I'd give them a three out of five for ease of finding your way to help.
GetHuman: What about quality of communication. How would you rate that on a 1 to 5 scale?
~jimlink82: I'd give them a two out of five on communication.
GetHuman: And what about Equifax's ability to quickly and effectively address your problem?
~jimlink82: For that I would say five out of five.
GetHuman: And finally- any advice for other Equifax customers?
~jimlink82: Call them early in the day or late. Don't forget any personal or account information you might need for Equifax to know who you are.
