~screwed: I recently moved back to Australia from overseas, I went into a branch and filled out paperwork to update my address & pay my VISA bill. Yesterday, i found out my HSBC ATM card does not work as a new one has been sent overseas. My HSBC credit card says I owe them interest even though I called them to check I had paid in full, so now I have NO interest free days. Why would I continue to use my Visa?! It's * days before Xmas, I have $** cash, no access to my own money. I called *x, do they care? REPLY:There is NOTHING they can do. They cannot waive my interest. This morning, i referred to a phone conversation i had, which no longer exists tonight. NOT every phone conversation is saved or recorded. As for no cash? Too bad. I work in healthcare so I can't go to a branch during normal business hours. Am I supposed to walk out to go to the bank during the day??? Unbelievable!!!!
